There's a website out there that sends out mystery shoppers, er, worshippers to various churches around the world and rates them. I think it's a very interesting idea. BUT...
Given the vast differences in styles of worship, denominational traditions and so forth, this could be a pretty bad idea in practice. For example, sending a Pentacostal worshipper to a traditional Presbyterian service would probably be an excruciating experience for the Pentacostal, but for the average Presby it's just dandy.
Rating the congregation on friendliness and being open to outsiders is fine. I think that if you have diametrically opposing doctorines rating each other then it could get messy.
But that's just my take on it.
