Getting a DS for your 5th birthday is one way to totally brighten your day. Of course, now he doesn't want to put the thing down, EVER. And I probably should have held off on getting Pokémon until his reading skills were a bit better, but if nothing else, maybe this will kick start him into trying to read more since he is quite insistent on playing it as opposed to Mario right now.
