Fall: When The Paths Run Red With Blood

I'm a bad influence.

Julie was pointing out the leaves changing on the trees yesterday on the drive home and asking Garrett about the seasons.

Of course, I pipe up and ask, "Do you know why they're red?"

"Why?"

"Because they eat people. If you see a red tree, it's because it ate someone. But that only happens in the fall when the trees get hungry."

I probably shouldn't have told him to tell his teacher this when they learn about the seasons in school...
