Weird news day

This has been a really strange day for news.

I woke up this morning and heard in passing on the TV that there had been a 747 that crashed at the Halifax airport and there were no survivors.

I figured I'd check it out on the noon news. City TV had NO mention of it whatsoever! They had very long segments about this new chip you can install to monitor your driving habits, a ban on smoking in cars and even a big story about the new enforcement of videogame ratings (finally) but NOTHING about a crashed 747.

Even the hourly radio news on CBC had no mention about the crash. It wasn't till 6:30 on Global when they finally said that it was a cargo plane and not a passenger plane. It was just weird that the story really didn't get a mention while new videogame regulations did. I mean, it wasn't a little Cessna that we are talking about here...
