While we did have a pretty busy Canada Day, what with a parade, face painting, ice cream and general carousing, it looks as though we'll be missing fireworks for the first time in memory.
The weather has been miserable at best around these parts and Garrett's mood was matching the sky near 7pm. If the weather were decent, I'd let him sleep for a bit and then we'd all wake up and go to the park to see the display, but as it stands, he was grouchy and tired and we'd all be grouchy and tired come 10pm or so when the fireworks go off.
Oh well. I'll just squinch my eyes really tightly and see if I can see some fireworks the old fashioned way!
