Just a little reno update: We've had the electrician in for most of this week and he's pretty much finished downstairs with all the wiring and so forth. I think he has a tiny bit left to do tomorrow and then we'll be able to get going with the drywalling and flooring part of the reno, which means we could conceivably have a usable basement in as little as 1-2 weeks!
Just having switches and lights downstairs right now is going a long way to making me feel like this is worth it. Julie's not quite as magnanimous, but we keep chanting the mantra: "It'll be worth it when it's done..."
