The 18th Time Is A Charm

Well, I just beat Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for the Gamecube.

Excellent remake of an excellent game. It's scary that a game that is 6-7 years old still holds up so well. Sure, the graphics in the remake are a LOT better than the original PS1 version and the new cutscenes are insanely sweet. But the main game is still the same and even though I've now finished the game about 5-6 times, it still rocks.

It was interesting to see how far the controls for stealth games have come though. After playing the two Splinter Cell games, MGS's controls are downright clunky. It still works though. It's just not as silky smooth as the control you have over Sam Fisher in the SC games.

Of course, this now means that I have to actually go back and work on Ninja Gaiden (eep!).
